BELMONT COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - Belmont Savings Bank went before a judge today asking for a temporary restraining order against East Ohio Regional Hospital's owners.

And Belmont County Common Pleas Judge Chris Berhalter granted that order.

It means that the new owners, 360 Healthcare, must stop using the accounts receivable, or proceeds, for themselves.

It contends the hospital owes millions to other entities and continues not to pay them.

Attorney David Croft, representing Belmont Savings Bank, says the hospital owes $2 million to that bank alone, and isn't repaying the loan.

Accounts receivable are funds that insurance companies pay to hospitals for services performed.

The temporary restraining order is in place until the next hearing, September 29th.
