PETOSKEY — The Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair is back.

From Aug. 18-24, the fairgrounds will be open for the 119th annual Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair , bringing carnival rides, animal shows, live music and more throughout the week.

Here's what you can expect:

Grandstand events

A wealth of options are available for people looking for some big-time entertainment during fair week.

At 6 p.m. on Aug. 19, the annual cornhole tournament will take place in the grandstand arena. Admission is free, and teams can register online for $40.

On Aug. 20, John Michael Montgomery will be headlining the popular County Music Concert. Gates open at 4 p.m., with Waylon Hanel performing at 5:30 p.m., followed by Phil Vassar at 6:30 p.m. Montgomery is set to take the stage at 8:15 p.m. Tickets range from $
