The Sanilac County Historical Society will host Flannel Festival 2025 on Sept. 19-20. The event will take place at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, 228 S. Ridge St., Port Sanilac, according to a community announcement.

The festival is a free, family-friendly celebration of pioneer heritage, highlighting the history of the region from 18th-century French voyageurs to the lumberjacks of the 1850s.

One of the main attractions will be the Ste. Claire Habitants et Voyageurs de Detroit, featuring a 1750s fur trade encampment with period clothing, trade displays and flintlock musket demonstrations. These demonstrations will occur twice daily.
