INDIANAPOLIS -- A reported domestic disturbance led, hours later, to a brief pursuit and a police shooting on the near northwest side, police say.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded around 9 p.m. Wednesday to a domestic disturbance in the 7700 block of Knue Road. The victim reported being assaulted by a man with a gun.
By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already left the home in a vehicle. Investigators were able to get a description of the car.
Around 12 a.m. Thursday, an officer spotted the vehicle at the intersection of East 30th and Ruckle streets on the near north side. The officer requested backup before trying to pull the vehicle over.
