A man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder after " gunshots " were allegedly fired on an Edinburgh street.
Armed cops raced to the Hailesland Gardens area of the capital following a report of a firearm being discharged at around 3.40pm on Thursday, July 24. Officers attended and a 23-year-old man was found injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained to his arm. No one else was harmed. Detectives have since arrested and charged a 25-year-old man in connection with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
Police previously arrested two men, aged 25 and 36, in connection , however, they were both released pending further inquiry. Article continues below
