Opportunity Home is set to lose $24 million in funding after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) canceled the Biden-era Solar for All program last week, a spokesperson for the nonprofit said in an email to KSAT.

The program, started under the Biden administration, provided funding to economically disadvantaged communities for solar infrastructure.

The New York Times first reported on the EPA’s plans last Tuesday.

The Times said the EPA was drafting termination letters to the 60 state agencies, nonprofits and Native American tribes who began receiving funding in 2024.

Opportunity Hiome received its termination letter last Thursday, Ingrid Wright, the nonprofit’s assistant director of communications, said in the Wednesday email.
