HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - A popular brunch venue with multiple locations said its Hartford location was back open following an abrupt closure.

The Place 2 Be posted to social media on Wednesday that its Downtown location reopened.

Earlier this month, the Department of Revenue Service put a sign on the West Hartford spot that read “no sales can be transacted.”

The DRS would not get into specific details, but it told Channel 3 that a sales tax permit, or a seller’s permit, is typically suspended because a business failed to comply with tax laws and regulations.

However, Channel 3 has tracked ongoing issues with the business over the past year.

Court documents showed that there was claims of thousands of dollars in unpaid rent at multiple “The Place 2 Be” locations.
