EAGAN, Minn. -- It's become clear this summer that Mike Vrabel is working to put Drake Maye through a crash course in what it means to lead .
During "mic'd up" moments on the field, the head coach has implored his almost-23-year-old quarterback to coach up his teammates during timeouts or celebrate with them after successful plays. He jumped all over Maye during a practice at Gillette Stadium earlier this week when the offense picked up a delay-of-game penalty.

Even when Vrabel is discussing his team in public, he's been hard on Maye after mistakes. He didn't hold back on Maye after an interception during a scrimmage two weeks ago. After a turnover in the preseason opener last week, Vrabel was blunt in his postga
