TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department has identified the woman who died Wednesday morning as 26-year-old Staziana Cobos of Temple.

Police said they were called to the 1200 block of E. Downs Avenue after a bystander reported seeing a man in the street yelling for medical assistance. The man then carried another person to a car and drove to the 1500 block of W. Central Avenue before officers arrived at the first location.

At the second location, Express Emergency Room Temple, a doctor pronounced Cobos dead. Justice of the Peace Rosanne Fisher also pronounced her deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. Police said the investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released.
