The Pulaski County Maroons started off their 2025 campaign on Tuesday evening as they welcomed in Berea in what was essentially a battle of the pirates. Despite a scoreless tie at the half, the Maroons were able to score three times in the second half to down their opponents in a shutout.
Despite an injury scare in the first half, senior goalkeeper Keegan Keith managed to come back in the game and record a few deflections to keep a clean sheet heading into the break, with Tucker Langford filling in admirably for a few minutes. Pulaski had several shots on goal through the first 15 minutes of the second half, until Owen Lewis managed to get a shot off while being tackled that rolled into the goal, giving the home team a 1-0 edge.
