JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 2025 football schedule for Raines High School has seen a slight change for one of the First Coast's biggest programs, as players learned that a highly contested game has been canceled.

Early on Thursday, Raines posted on X announcing the cancellation of their game against the Miami Central Rockets on Aug. 23. In the post, they stated that refunds will be sent out to ticketholders, as well as stating that "some things were out of our hands".

Raines players would have been able to showcase their skills against the 9-time state champions in the game.
