A 63-year-old man was arrested today – about three days after prosecutors filed a murder charge stemming from his roommate's homicide in 2015.

Raphael M. Helton of Fort Wayne was arrested on a warrant about 2 p.m. in the 100 block of West Baker Street, Fort Wayne police said in a news release. That's less than a mile north of the home he and 67-year-old Michael J. Fedock resided in 2015.

Fedock died sometime after Feb. 25, 2015. His body was found wrapped in clear plastic and duct tape. He had been in the closet for weeks at the residence in the 200 block of Woodland Avenue, police said.

Police first went to the home four days before Fedock was found. An officer was investigating reports that Fedock’s family could not reach him, Detective Jeff Marsee wrote in a probable cause affidavit.
