LILLINGTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A 15-year-old boy is in custody for a homicide investigation where a third victim died from shooting injuries.
The 911 call came from a 10-year-old who lived in the home, according to deputies. They said the child, who was unharmed, stated several of their family members had been shot around 5 p.m.
CBS 17 previously reported Tuesday evening that deputies found three people with gunshot wound injuries at a house on Kentucky Derby Lane in Lillington. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, while one person was taken to the hospital.
According to the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, deputies said the third shooting victim died from the injuries sustained in the shooting on Wednesday.
