GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A weekend motorcycle crash that’s still under investigation in Grand Rapids has left a family mourning and a community coming together to show support.

From the moment word spread about the crash, the love and support for Carl Murray II have been pouring in from family, friends, and neighbors.

“Carl was a mechanic, a loving person, a people's person,” Murray’s father, Carl Murray, said.

Murray says his son was on his way to his parents’ house when it happened.

At approximately 10:40 a.m on Saturday, officers responded to the area of Diamond Avenue NE and Malta Street NE on a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.
