Kendrick Carmouche is a 41-year-old jockey who is now in his 10th year of being based in New York at the New York Racing Association tracks. He was born in Vinton, Louisiana, the son of jockey Sylvester Carmouche. He started as a professional jockey at age 16, at Evangeline Downs. He won seven riding titles at Parx, where he is in the track’s hall of fame, before moving his tack to New York.

At this year’s Saratoga meet, through Wednesday, he has 17 wins, 11 seconds and 10 thirds from 97 mounts, and $1,817,062 in earnings. He recently won the Grade I Fourstardave aboard Deterministic and the Grade II Saratoga Oaks Invitational aboard Laurelin.
