MANHATTAN, N.Y. – A federal appeals court has ruled that the NFL can be put on trial over claims of discrimination against Brian Flores and other Black coaches. The ruling was made clear today.

The decision from the Second U.S. Court of Appeals in Manhattan supported a lower court’s ruling, which denied the league’s request to address the claims through arbitration. This allows Flores to proceed with his claims against the NFL and three teams: the Denver Broncos, the New York Giants, and the Houston Texans.

An NFL spokesperson commented on the ruling, stating, “The NFL respectfully disagrees with the panel’s ruling and will be seeking further review.”
