OCEAN CITY — The redevelopment of the former Wonderland site on the Boardwalk is set to be on the agenda for City Council next week, but Eustace Mita is not.

Mita has plans for a 252-room hotel for the site, and has asked the city to designate the former amusement park an area in need of rehabilitation to move that proposal forward.

On Thursday afternoon, the city announced that a resolution would be on the agenda for the Aug. 21 council meeting asking the Planning Board for a recommendation about the designation, but made clear there would be no presentation from Mita.

“City Council will not discuss or consider approval of any development for this site at this meeting. No presentation is planned for this meeting,” reads the statement from the city.
