CORONA — Matt Logan has coached pass catchers of many shapes and sizes during his 30 seasons in charge of the Centennial football program.
He never has had someone who quite looks like Keawe Browne.
Browne is a senior who stands 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds and is among the top available tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class. Centennial’s offense does not use a tight end in the traditional sense. Browne will line up mostly as a slot receiver, with Logan using Browne’s size to create mismatches.
“He brings a different dynamic to the offense that us and opposing teams aren’t used to,” said Logan, who begins this season with 295 career wins. “Keawe is smart and athletic, and that combination makes him a great weapon to have. We’re going to use in many ways and take advantage of it.”
