NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Another heat advisory is in effect on Friday from 10A-7P as heat index values climb above 105. Expect highs of 93-95 through the weekend with spots farther inland even a degree or two hotter.
Isolated storms will be possible each afternoon but overall coverage looks low. These will be slow moving and could cause isolated street flooding, especially in the metro New Orleans areas.
It does look like a bit better rain chance later in the day Saturday. The best chance will be north of I-10.
In the Atlantic Tropical Storm Erin is forecast to continue moving west across the central Atlantic over the next few days. Beyond that it will likely start to curve north around a ridge of high pressure. This will not pose a threat to the Gulf. The wave in the southwest Gulf will co
