After three years at other courses, the BMW Championship is back at Caves Valley.

Thursday’s PGA Tour event, the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, brought with it plenty of intrigue, from a weather delay to several scores above par from some of the world’s best. Here’s what stood out Thursday.

Renovated course packs a punch

This isn’t your 2021 BMW Championship at Caves Valley. Renovations to the course have made it tougher, and changing a pair of par 5s in 2021 to par 4s made over-par scores more common Thursday.
