LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - There’s no question the Texas Tech Football program is rolling in the dough this season, but other Big 12 athletic directors want to make sure it doesn’t become a hazard on the field.
While the conference is clarifying the penalties for when fans throw things onto the playing surface, some Red Raider fans say their traditional tortilla toss won’t be taken from them.
Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt says sportsmanship and fan behavior were recently brought up at a Big 12 athletic director meeting.
“Texas Tech’s gameday environment was talked about specifically,” he said.
