Traffic in a section of north Roswell briefly came to a halt Thursday afternoon following a collision that involved at least five vehicles.

The Roswell Daily Record was unable to obtain more specific information from city officials about the crash by press time Thursday. However, the accident happened at about 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of North Main Street and Wilshire Boulevard.

At least one person was seen being removed from a vehicle and wheeled away on a gurney by first responders. The nature of that person’s injuries remains unknown.

Some of the vehicles involved sustained heavy damage, including the back of a red pickup truck and the front of a gray sedan.
