With the Provincial Junior Hockey League pre-season nderway, some local teams are just days away from their debuts.

The Dresden Kings play their opener Friday, Aug. 22, against the Lucan Irish at 7:30 p.m. at Dresden’s Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre.

They visit the Petrolia Flyers in Watford Friday, Aug. 29, travel to Lucan Saturday, Aug. 30, and host the Flyers Friday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m.

The Blenheim Blades host the Walpole Island Wild Sunday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. at Blenheim Memorial Arena.

The Blades also visit the Wheatley Omstead Sharks Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Wheatley Area Arena and the Wild Saturday, Sept. 6, at 4 p.m. at the Walpole Island Sports Complex before hosting the Sharks Sunday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m.

The Wild also visit the Mooretown Flags Thursday
