CORVALLIS — While chaos still swirls across the landscape of college sports, the dust has at least partially settled for Oregon State and the remade Pac-12.

The 2025 football season opener is 15 days away, and the uncertainty of conference realignment is no longer hanging over the Beavers. This will be their final season on an independent schedule, and negotiations are ongoing to schedule future games with the rival Ducks .

OSU shelled out in the NIL marketplace for quarterback Maalik Murphy , and the athletic department continues to navigate a new revenue sharing system post-House settlement. Roster sizes are smaller for some of the non-revenue sports, while budget cuts across the department aim to set the Beavers up for the future.
