After graduating a large senior class last season, the Steubenville Catholic Central Crusaders aim to build on last year’s success with a much younger roster.

Of those who moved on were key players Tommy Pergi and Timmy Mihalyo, leaving big shoes to fill. Head coach Eric Meek acknowledges that the new lineup will need to step up to maintain the team's momentum.

Meek noted that this season, around seven to eight underclassmen are expected to start on both sides of the ball. Still, the team benefits from the return of several key players, including quarterback Matthew Sprochi, wide receiver Zach Bryan, and linemen Nick Mascio, Johnny Kostecki, and Justin Roe.

Despite having a young lineup, Meek emphasized the importance of continued hard work, particularly on the mental side of the game.
