A man was left with a bleed on the brain following a violent assault in the City of London earlier this year. He was attacked outside Monument Tube station, near the capital's financial district, at around 2am on Friday, April 4.

The City of London Police is investigating the shocking incident but is yet to make an arrest in connection almost four and a half months later. A CCTV appeal has now been launched in the hopes the public can identify a person of interest.

The force confirmed they would like to speak to the man pictured as soon as possible. The image shows a White man with short dark hair and a beard.

He also appears to be wearing a black top or jumper with 3/4-quarter length sleeves.
