RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - – Urology Nevada Cancer Foundation (UNCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to life-saving, protein-specific antigen (PSA) screenings used to help diagnose prostate cancer in northern Nevada.
The nonprofit will host the UNCF 5k for Prostate Cancer Saturday, Aug. 23 at Idlewild Park. The event is designed to honor survivors, to remember those lost to prostate cancer and to promote the early detection of prostate cancer through accessible screening tests.
Registration is $25 and allows participants to join as an individual, join an existing team, or create a new team to travel in the five-kilometer run/walk or the one-mile walk.
