Two people are facing charges for impaired operation on the water. On the evening of July 26, Prince Edward County OPP and Tyendinaga Police Service responded to a report of a boat washed up on a shoreline on the Bay of Quinte. Officers located the vessel and discovered the driver sleeping at the helm. Seventy-year-old Robert Mittelstaedt of Aurora was charged with two counts of operation while impaired.
