WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — A 26-year-old Bridgeton man was arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun during a fight at a Gloucester County LA Fitness on Aug. 1, police said.
Jacob Vanaman, who turned himself in Thursday, was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and making terroristic threats, police said.
Police responded to the LA Fitness parking lot at 8:06 p.m. for a report of an active fight with a firearm, police said. An off-duty state trooper who witnessed the confrontation reported seeing a man and a woman arguing near parked cars. The trooper said he then saw the man pull a handgun from his waistband and point it at the woman and called 911.
When officers arrived, all parties had left the scene, police said. The n
