A new youth curfew rule is set go into effect on Friday night that is aimed at preventing crime in the city.
Starting Friday night, anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted on city streets while unaccompanied by an adult past 11 p.m. Advertisement
However, in the Central Business District and parts of Over-the-Rhine that are south of Liberty Street, this curfew will go into effect even earlier, at 9 p.m.
The curfew will permanently remain in effect and enforced every night of the year going forward.
Additionally, a new citywide curfew center has also been set up at Seven Hills Neighborhood Houses in the West End for those found to be in violation of the rule, where police will be authorized to temporarily house children until their parents can come to pick them u
