He considers potential diesel spills, the lubricant used by the drill and the act of stirring up sediments are among the rig’s potential threats to bay water, which shoreline residents drink.
He’s one of three directors with the advocacy group Save Georgian Bay, which is a constant project critic on environmental and economic grounds, and advocate for an alternative answer to relacing fossil fuels than pumping water in and out of the bay.
