Daniel Serafini, 51, filed a motion in court this week asking for new counsel a month after a Placer County jury convicted him of murder and attempted murder.
He shot his in-laws in an ambush attack in June 2021, leaving Gary Spohr dead. Wendy Wood survived and made a full recovery, but she killed herself a couple of years later.
