(KRON) -- Firefighters in San Jose are responding to a grass fire in East San Jose in the area of the 15800 block of Rica Vista Way. The fire, according to the San Jose Fire Department, has grown to three acres and is spreading at a rapid rate.

Structures are currently threatened, SJFD said. People are being advised to avoid the area.

A PG&E camera caught an image of the fire and showed a thick plume of smoke amid several structures.
