Food is everywhere at the Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair with more than 100 concessionaires, contests and extras that encourage guests to come with an appetite.

"We boast on having something for everyone. There are so many options here at the fair for people to choose what and where they would like to eat," said Helen McPeak, executive director of the fair. The festivities are happening now and scheduled through Aug. 23.

"We laugh that there are always multiple options of fried food on a stick. We know there are people that just come to the fair to eat and enjoy the atmosphere being at the fair."
