Grey Bruce Public Health board’s municipal members remain board members, despite letters from the board chair announcing their termination.
Grey County Warden Andrea Matrosovs confirmed this in an interview Friday, the morning after Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, temporarily took over control of the health unit Thursday and appointed a special adviser.

Moore issued a statement Thursday which announced he was stepping in due to “serious concerns” about the board of health’s ability to fulfill its responsibilities, including issues “related to governance, leadership, financial management, and human resources.”
A copy of Moore’s Aug. 14 order justifies the intervention for a few reasons: results of an investigation, board chair Nick Saunder
