LUCAN BIDDULPH – “This is a game changer.”

That’s how Lucan Biddulph Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson described a $17.6-million grant her municipality is receiving from the province to support an estimated $22-million to $24-million expansion of the Lucan wastewater treatment plant.

The funding announcement, which Burghardt-Jesson told Postmedia was the largest grant in the municipality’s history, was made by Lambton–Kent–Middlesex MPP Steve Pinsonneault on the morning of Friday, Aug. 15, in front of the more than 30-year-old wastewater treatment facility on Fallon Drive.
