One of Canada’s most renowned science journalists will be the keynote speaker at next month’s launch of this year’s Children’s Treatment Centre of Cornwall and Area’s Celebrity Walk and Breakfast.
Bob McDonald, longtime host of CBC Radio’s Quirks and Quarks , will help kick off the annual fundraising campaign on Sept. 23 at the Best Western Parkway Inn and Conference Centre.
Quirks and Quarks has been on the air since 1975; McDonald, 74, has hosted the popular Saturday morning radio show since 1992. Beyond this commitment, he is also the CBC’s main science journalist reporting for its national television and radio newscasts.
