Concert-goers heading to a huge gig in Wythenshawe Park were hit by travel problems tonight following a crash involving a tram and a car.
The smash happened on Metrolink's line to Manchester Airport this evening just before Irish rockers Fontaines D.C. were due to take to the stage.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed brief details of the crash near Hawkridge Drive in Northern Moor at about 6pm. The crash involved a car and a tram but there were no reported injuries, said the spokeswoman.
The Bee Network confirmed some services had been changed and were experiencing some delays, adding that tram tickets would be accepted on bus routes.
They said in a bulletin on X: "Due to a road traffic collision between Northern Moor and Wythenshawe Town Centre, service change
