A flood last week has impacted the operations of some non-profits at the Caring Place on Granville Avenue.
In an email newsletter, Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives described the incident as a “major flood,” which affected at least two floors of the building that houses several non-profits.
RCRG’s offices sustained damage from the flood, but temporary work stations have been set up, the non-profit said in the newsletter.
The Richmond Early Years Library, operated by the Child Care Resource and Referral Centre, however, will be closed for the rest of the summer.
The library experienced “significant flooding” that damaged carpets, the ceiling and furniture.
However, if anyone needs resources from the library, staff can assist in locating them, said RCRG executive director Jocelyn Wong.
