SpaceX said Friday that its next Starship launch from Boca Chica, Flight 10, may take place as early as Aug. 24, and the Federal Aviation Administration has given the company a green light.
The FAA announced earlier Friday that it had closed the SpaceX-led mishap investigation into Starship Flight 9 on May 27. The suborbital test flight ended with the loss of Starship S35 and Super Heavy booster B14-2 before either could make planned water landings — Super Heavy in the Gulf of Mexico and Starship in the Indian Ocean near Australia.
The FAA concluded that no public injury or damage was reported as a result of the Flight 9 mishap.
