Ohio-based Workhorse Group Inc., a manufacturer of zero-emission commercial vehicles with a presence in Randolph County, is planning to merge with California-based Motiv Electric Trucks.

Workhorse said in a news release Friday that the combined company will be valued at approximately $105 million.

Workhorse Group manufactures electric trucks and vans used for last-mile delivery out of its facility in Union City, located about two miles from the Indiana-Ohio border.
