MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - Marion Police Officers say a shooting investigation led to lockdowns at three schools.
Investigators say they were told that a 20-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center just before 11 a.m. on Friday.
Officers responded to the hospital and were alerted to a possible location on Castellano Drive.
Marion High School, Marion Junior High, and Longfellow School were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
Investigators say they learned that the shooting possibly happened at the victim’s home on Cline Street, instead.
The area was searched, but no evidence was found.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
