COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (ABC4) — A Cottonwood Heights woman has been charged after posing as at least two different people to get false prescriptions for Adderall, documents say.
Katie Marie Romney, 38, has been charged with nine counts of forgery, a third-degree felony, and nine counts of obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to court documents, on May 29, 2025, the Cottonwood Heights Police Department received a report from a pharmacist at Smith's Pharmacy. She reported that the pharmacy was receiving fraudulent prescriptions, and told the police about two women she believed had fake prescriptions.
