DALLAS — There has been much speculation as to what the Democratic field of candidates for U.S. Senate might look like come the March primary.

So far, former Congressman Colin Allred is the only major candidate to announce, and he just lost to Sen. Ted Cruz by 8.5 percentage points last year.

After a viral interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, state Rep. James Talarico, D-District 50, is being mentioned as a possible candidate.

And then there’s Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who, according to some polls, would be in the lead for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. The North Texas Democrat is also a top fundraiser among members of Congress from Texas.
