LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Fire evacuations have been lowered for the wildfire burning near the border of Lincoln and Spokane Counties.

Spokane Fire District 5 has downgraded the wildland fire evacuation status to Level 1 (GET READY) for residents living west to McLaughlin, east to Valley, south to Prewett/Fourmount, north to River.

Spokane Fire District 5 has downgraded the wildland fire evacuation status to Level 2 (GET SET) for residents living east to McLaughlin, west to County Line, south to Prewett, north to River.

According to Department of Natural Resources, the Crescent Road Fire is burning at about 893 acres, or 1.4 square miles.

To put the size in perspective, one acre is about the size of a standard American football field, not including the end zones.
