COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - When you think of guitar makers, names like Gibson and Fender might come to mind. Here in Stewart County, however, there’s another name you might be hearing a lot more of soon, however.
Brody Cobb has been playing guitar since he was six years old. But when it comes to repairing them or making them from scratch? That came because of a need to add a little something special to an off the shelf six-string.
“I’d get a guitar and it wasn’t set up right and my friend said you know, you need to learn this stuff. So I bought books, DVDs, and fell in love,” Cobb tells us.
When he decided to go all in, Cobb sold his truck to buy the tools that he needed. Initially, he wasn’t in to woodworking or doing any sort of repair work - he taught himself how to do it from scratch.
