A serious crash between a motorcycle and a sedan in east London on Friday afternoon sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews responded to the collision on Brydges Street, east of Egerton Street, around 1:50 p.m., police said.

A male rider was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and he remains hospitalized, according to police.

The crash involved a motorcycle, left lying on its side in the middle of the road, and a black SUV stopped near the curb, surrounded by debris. Police taped off the area and placed numerous evidence markers at the scene.

A witness, who asked to remain anonymous, said the motorcycle was traveling “way too fast and flying down” Brydges Street before colliding with the SUV coming from the opposite direction.
