TROUT RUN, Pa. — It's been about a year since the Trout Run area was hit hard by remnants from Hurricane Debbie. Water rushed onto Route 14 due to a pickup truck floating down from the Trout Run creek into the Route 14 bridge, causing water to back up and spill into homes and businesses.

"It was even neater when they pulled the pickup truck out from underneath and all the trees, and there was no one injured. It was really great that we had that serious of a flood, and there were no injuries," Steven Sechrist, Lewis Township Supervisor (R), Road Master.

The Route 14 wasn't the only structure damaged by the flooding; the Trout Run Volunteer Fire Company's wall also collapsed, causing the building to become inoperable.
