SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, Pa. — Flames engulfed a house along Meshoppen Creek Road near Dimock Friday morning. Road worker, Al Kellog, says he and his crew spotted the flames and dark smoke just before 9 a.m.
"That's when my foreman called 911. We all moved our cars and waited for the fire company to get here. That's the last thing that was on my mind. Shocked, it went up really fast. Real fast," said Kellogg.
Firefighters from the Montrose Fire Department, United Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company, and the Rush Volunteer Fire Department all tackled the fire.
United Fire Chief Charles Daly said no one lives in the house. The owner died several years ago.
