Wondering why the price of ground beef keeps rising?
Hearst Television Data Researcher and Curator Damali Ramirez took a look at the numbers and uncovered the reasons.
She explained that the idea behind this research came about after the Consumer Price Index was showing that ground beef prices were at an all-time high in June, averaging $6.12 per pound.
"As someone who enjoys a burger like most Americans, I couldn't help but wonder what was causing these prices to go up and wanted to know if that trend will continue," Ramirez said.
